Tattoos on the rib cage for woman??? Opinions Please!!?
I am really thinking of getting a tattoo on my right rib cage and am unsure because of the pain etc. I love tattoo’s and have 4 already in places you can hide them, i am 19 and don’t wanna look like Amy Winehouse. Is the pain really bad in that area? And what would you think of a girl if you seen a tattoo there? Thanks a lot guys.

Its definitely painful since the rib cage is a bony area…but I think its sexy and still unique…since you have other tattoos already, i think the pain i something you can’t bear…as long as the designs are well thought of, it should will be worth it in the end.

stomach is worse but still hurts like hell. if you decide to go for it take some pain pills before going it will help for a while. but any tat is worth the pain

DON’T GET IT!!!!!!!!!! Think about your life past 19 years old. Think about in 3 years when you are applying for jobs and when you are trying to settle down with someone. Let me tell you, employers DO NOT want people with tatt’s in their office. Nor do men want to marry (or date) girls with tatt’s. They are tacky, trashy and just nasty especially when you’re older. Take this from someone who IS older, don’t do it. You have a couple already, fine. They are hidden, fine – maybe you will find a guy who doesn’t care so much… but Im telling you NOT TO DO IT.

The first design with the roses is just beautiful. You’re right about the pain, that one will be a bit gnarly.
Thing is about a big piece like that, you don’t want to imbalance the look of your body by having one big beautiful tattoo, and many other little tattoo’s speckled over the body. So if you got this tattoo, you will have to think about seriously about any further tattoos you may want to get.
If I saw this tattoo on a girl I would think its a nice decorative piece of art, and that she must have a very high pain tolerance! Definately keep the piece black and gray.

March 9th, 2010 at 6:48 pmI really like those. I almost got one on my ribcage that was a similar idea, but ended up getting a very large upper back tattoo. The back tattoo hurt like hell and I heard the ribcage hurts worse. I think it’s hot if you can stand the pain! Good Luck!
March 9th, 2010 at 6:48 pmFor sure the pain will hurt like a b**ch ! no doubt about it ! i think it depends what your others are and how big they are . its good that youll be able to hide it of course you have to think if you want kids in the future because if you get pregnant itll COMPLETELY stretch it and end up looking horrible . i think having alot of tattoos is kinda
but if the others are little then having that i think looks really pretty . my friend got stars and swirls on her ribcage and she said it did hurt [if you do get one dont put your bra on right after , she did that and it got stuck and later on and to peel/rip it off] but she thinks it was worth it . also i think they look prettier if theres no color , it looks more idk artistic ? idk my opinion
